I'm not that familiar with transporting weapons other than firearms, but as long as it isn't "ready at hand" I think it should be fine. I'd personally case it and transport it in the trunk. If in an SUV/Minivan without a trunk, cased and in the back. In a pickup truck, cased and behind the seat.

Edit: BTW, an Ohio Concealed Handgun License doesn't cover anything other than a handgun so it wouldn't affect transporting a bow in a car anyway. FYI

Well I don't think it matters, but like a machete I would keep it out of the passenger compartment if possible.

I would think if it was in a bow case, it would be ok... Don't know though.
"Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home
Let me die in a pile of empty brass."
Amen

If it's not concealed, then how is it a crime?

Everyone is overthinking this.

That's what I'm saying..If you are just transporting it and not shooting it from a moving car..I've never heard of anyone being charged with having a bow in the car.

It's like transporting a rifle, as long as it is unloaded nothing wrong with it
