My 9mm load for lead is sitting at 1.085 OAL. I am loading that with HP38 at 3.3 grains which is the minimum charge listed in the book that I have. Their OAL for 3.3 is 1.090. The profile of that lead round nose that I am using does not seat in my XD unless it is shorter than 1.090. Test firing of this load shows that it is extremely mild. I know one of the big companies did some pressure testing and showed massive pressure spikes when seating depths were changed by .030, but that is quite a large change in size. Many of the loadings I saw were using LRN at 1.100.

Not to be some kind of grammar or word-choice police, but it makes sense to point out that you may have meant to say "over pressure round"
You are, of course, correct. That is what I had intended to say. I appreciate the clarification.
