What do you have on hand?

Post by Gaspode »

Just as it states, What do you have on hand right now, that youve loaded?

I just did another 200 124gr berrys 9mm. And another 100 158gr LSWC 38spl. That puts my running tally up to:

9mm - 650
38spl - 300
223 - 200

The reason for all the loading is... Well... I hate trying to load in a rush on a Saturday night for a range session at 9am the following Sunday! Ill hopefully top off my 9mm at 1k tomorrow and do some more 223 before I prep more 38spl and 40s&w.

.38 Special, 50 rounds (ridiculous)
.357 Mag, 200rds (light)
9mm, 1,150rds (good)
10mm, 450rds (good)
.45 Auto, 250rds (a bit light)
.30 Carbine, 300 rds (plenty)
.223, 115rds (meh, enough)

I'm typically more concerned with how many primers and component bullets that I have on hand. While I can't necessarily "make a bunch the night before", it's a lot easier to come up with ammo when I have the components than when I have to order more slugs.
I like to swap brass... and I'm looking for .32 H&R Mag, .327 Fed Mag, .380 Auto and 10mm. If you have some and would like to swap for something else, send me a note!

Not sure exactly how many but roughly
3 .50 cal cans filled with 230gr .45ACP FMJ
1 .50 cal can filled with 200gr .45ACP Berry's FP
2 .30 cal cans filled with 115gr 9mm
1 .30 can with 124gr 9mm
2 .50 cans filled with .40S&W
2 .30 cans filled with 10mm (1 full power the other FBI lite)
Only 200-300 .38Spl
Various amounts of factory in the above calibers and .223 as well and some 12ga #8 and 00 along with a few value packs of .22LR.
Lots of brass, primers, powder and bullets for more loading (feel free to donate 10mm brass though!).
Would normally be more this time of year as I tend to reload during the winter but going through a job search and haven't been able to reload like I'd prefer. Usually load in the winter to carry me through IDPA season with no worries.

I sold all my guns and ammo at the last gun show to some guy. He did have his CHL so the sale should be legit.

I keep one round of 38 special on hand. I keep it in my shirt pocket in case I ever need it.

You seem to have many boating accidents. Ever consider that boating may not be for you?

I lost mine in a house-boat fire/accident. My house boat caught on fire and sank to the bottom of the ocean

When I reload a caliber, I usually run 1000-2500 rounds of that caliber.

~150 rounds of 10mm
500-600 rounds of .40
3000 rounds of 9mm (most of which is for classes and will be gone by summer so it's not really "on hand")
1000 rounds of .308
~250 rounds of 12 gauge 2.75" 00 buckshot, 50 rounds of 3" 00 buckshot, and about 20 2.75" and 3" slugs.
500-750 rounds of .22 (those little guys are hard to keep track of  )
and a few dozen rounds of .223/5.56, that belongs to a friend, sitting in the bottom of my safe.

Suffice to say, I'll be the crazy guy with the "arsenal"/"weapon and ammo cache" if I ever wind up on the news...

Keep in mind that we are talking about handloads here, all stuff that you rolled on your own, not simply a surplus ammo dump in a buried bunker behind the house!

 I've got to start paying closer attention when I hang out in the "View New Posts" section... *sigh*

And lets not talk about bunkers, that ammo count is just what's in my bedroom closet
