I agree. I just am not the one to do it. Not yet. Please keep the flag flying until I am able to join you (that is without divorce proceedings. I know she will come around in a few years if I am patient)

Oh to be 230 again (sadly I have never been 6'4 :( )

SWEET!

Korupt;
While I applaud what you're doing its just a matter of time before you'll be hasseled by law enforcement.

Of course you already know this, so good luck.

If you really want to expedite this adventure for a more immediate reaction, 1st may I suggest dressing like a vagabond. Secondly; open carry not one….put two pistols…..one on each hip. This tactic seems to work quicker with the Sheep. Finally; drive around town in a manner that brings attention to you.

That should do the trick.

If I see that you have not posted for a few days, I will assume that you have succeeded in garnering reactions from the public.

I will be interested in reading your daily reports. Good luck.

Korupt,

Refuse to 'go to the back of the bus'! Drink from whatever water fountain you choose!

Standing up for your rights is something any self-respecting free citizen should wholeheartedly support.

I have met you and know you have 'what it takes' to go the distance.

My hat is off to you, sir. You are far more of a free individual than I have become in years of late.

Greetings to a fellow Colerain guy.

So far it sounds good. But I got a question.

For those who dont have a CHL, how do you open carry. I mean I understand, you put on a holster and gun and go walk around. But sya I wanna go shopping.

I would transport the gun according to peacable journy laws, and once I get to my destination, in the parking lot, load the gun. This to me seems to be the only problematic part of OC.

I do not thinkthat you will get arrested for having a gun on your hip, questioned maybe, but definatly not arrested. But in a normal OC situation you dont handle your gun. In the instance I described, someone could see you holding a gun, incerting a mag, and chambering a round. Now that could case soem trouble. Hopefully the responding LEO would have some sence of the sitiation once he relized what was happening, but look what happened to Dan Sayers.

Korupt,

Good for you, good luck. I know it's the right thing to do.

I often carry openly around home and the farm. Actually the other night, I had an incident where having the firearm visible may have avoided a very nasty escalation.

Timmy44221,

That is a good point. I would not/do not OC without a CHL if I was going anywhere via vehicle. That part of the law needs some 'tweaking'.

I rely on my CHL for transport, etc. Beyond that, I might OC or CC depending on some factors.

Of course, I don't OC 'off property' anywhere near the level that korupt does... yet!

The problem is that these dogs aren't sleeping. For every day that goes by, the media, anti-gunners, friends, and family of alot of people are influencing them negatively about firearms. They are not informed about law-abiding citizens carrying guns. The police hardly see it, so it's a big deal(and sometimes a big hassle for us).
Sounds like you have a good grasp of what a two edged sword this is. Knowing that, I must support what you are doing. It may help us, it may not, but it's the right thing IMHO.

I only hope you (and those who depend on you) are prepared to deal with the extremely negative consequence that you may encounter.

I answered your poll with my support. I support any exercising of our 2nd Amendment rights that are legal.

Good for you! But it's an unfortunate reality that you will probably be unnecessarily hassled at some point. :(

I can only ask, and this isn't meant to be-little anyone, just a general question. If you are pro gun and Concealed Carry, why would yo be against Open Carry? I just don't see why anyone would be against a constitutional right.

Anyway, ypou have my support!
