NRA sends Tough Guy Frenchie to run Damage Control video

Post by bignflnut »

This isn’t a fun time for Second Amendment advocates. We’re being demonized. We’re under constant assault, finding ourselves called on to justify our right to keep and bear arms, regardless of what the Constitution says.

In that wake, NRA president Wayne LaPierre stepped in front of the camera. He wanted to reassure gun owners, but the question is, did he?

Judge for yourself.
Of course, Bearing Arms absolves and cheers on the NRA from the political betrayals perpetrated against us. NRA encouraged Fix NICS, that Congress and Trump just passed. Frenchie mentions bump stock regulation, which just launched from DOJ. His agenda is winning, but he decries Congress and tyranny.

Here's Chris Cox from just a few days ago, with the same background, advocating for the due-process free State proposals that take guns first and make the guilty gun owner justify that they are not crazy / a threat.

Judge for yourself, indeed.

On Tuesday, a new report revealed that donations to the National Rifle Association's (NRA) political action committee significantly increased in February after they were attacked by the media and far-left activists in the wake of the Parkland shooting.

"The PAC raised a total of $779,063 in February and reported $247,985 in donations in January," an increase of over 300%, The Washington Free Beacon reported.

The massive surge in donations comes after the gun rights group has been viciously attacked by the media and far-left activists like Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student David Hogg, who has referred to the NRA as "child murderers" on multiple occasions.

The Free Beacon adds:
The NRA's PAC has now received more than $7 million since the start of the 2018 election cycle, which began in Jan. 2017. More than $6.3 million—or around 90 percent—of its total donations this cycle came from small contributions, its filings with the Federal Election Commission show.
How do those phrases go?...
We deserve the government we vote for?
We sabotaged ourselves?
Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it?
Qui Bono?

The idea that the pro-selfdefense/RKBA/2A community has a kneejerk reaction to donate to the NRA is ignorant. Need that wrestler to stop coordinating the match and do the work they were hired to do.

FFLs and local orgs need to start funding a different advocacy group that might actually win some legal battles that improve our Rights. (Not NSSF or SAF, either)

And despite their many betrayals, the NRA is being rewarded for playing the WWE heel:
As the student-led March for Our Lives movement captured the nation's attention in the weeks after the Parkland shooting, the other side of the gun control debate enjoyed a banner month of its own.

The National Rifle Association's Political Victory Fund raised $2.4 million from March 1 to March 31, the group's first full month of political fundraising since the nation's deadliest high school shooting on Valentine's Day, according to filings submitted to the Federal Elections Commission. The total is $1.5 million more than the organization raised during the same time period in 2017, when it took in $884,000 in donations, and $1.6 million more than it raised in February 2018.

The $2.4 million haul is the most money raised by the NRA's political arm in one month since June 2003, the last month when electronic federal records were readily available. It surpasses the $1.1 million and $1.5 million raised in January and February 2013, the two months after the Sandy Hook school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.
More money for RINOs to campaign as pro RKBA and sell us out after achieving office.
