Free access to 3D printer files

Post by bignflnut »

Here's a recent video done by ReasonTV discussing Defense Distributed, who sells a 3D printer allowing people to make a range of weapon parts at home, without the ATF/FFL/ NICS / gun control apparatus that's currently the norm.

Is a computer file protected under "free speech" if it is a diagram of some regulated item?
Should people be able to manufacture and assemble weapons at home?

Are you down with RKBA?

Is this much different from acquiring an 80% receiver and finishing it at home?

There are no dangerous weapons; there are only dangerous men. - RAH
Four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, ammo - use in that order.
If you aren't part of the solution, then you obviously weren't properly dissolved.
