Well, on the positive side, his ex wife denies the allegations also, although I'm not sure how she would know anything for sure.
Whose ex-wife?

As far as I have heard, Roy Moore has been married to the same lady for 35 years. She's 14 years younger than he is.

the timing is certainly suspect. I strongly believe the man is being Herman Cained.

And I am not happy that there is a rush to judgment by people who ought to know better.

The original tweet from CNN can still be looked at. We'll see how long it is before they try to take it down. (Update: It appears one of Getty's photographers shot the original photo; it's been linked in the comments, and I checked it. It's pretty-clearly the image CNN used and it was also clearly shot in color as it includes portions of the people holding it in the picture....)

I took the image on the right side of their tweet, brought it into Photoshop and increased the size.

I will swear under oath that I did nothing to tamper with the color or tone and in fact did nothing other than increasing its zoom level to 400% because it would be impossible to tamper with the image at said greatly enhanced zoom level without causing visible artifacts in the background and periphery of the letters. There is also a gradient in the paper caused by a B&W photo being in part of the area where the signature is, which again will cause visible artifacts if I were to try to tamper with it. In other words I did this to add irrefutable proof that I did not in any way tamper with the image itself. I also saved the extract from the tweet as a "PNG" which is lossless from my desktop to yours; no compression so there are no artifacts added in my process either; whatever CNN put forward, that's what I (and you) have.

Those are clearly different inks for everything after the first name.

Was the original signature Roy or was it Ray?

Whatever it was, someone added "Moore DA", the date and "Olde Hickory House" in a different ink color.

Shall there be similar outrage at SITTING Senator Al Franken?

Sorry, I apologise. I must be getting dyslexia in my old age. I misread a sentence in one of the news links, had two words reversed. I read it too fast I guess, and thought it said
the judges former wife, when it actually said
the former judges wife.

Thanks for clarifying. I was not sure if I was missing something.

Other senators are outraged and are calling for an ethics investigation. But nobody yet has called for his resignation or for him to be kicked out.

Everything I've ever read from Slate makes it sound like a liberal far left wing rag, and they want a left wing Democrat politician to resign? It feels like either they are sarcastic, or I've woke up in an alternate universe.

The left, in the middle of disavowing William Jefferson Clinton, who now holds zero power in the party, has an opportunity to apply the newly minted (like THIS week) standard, or be exposed (see what I did there?) as supreme hypocrites. Perhaps Hannity should give them 24 hours to hold a press conference, or else..

Plus, after promising that he would “campaign like heck for him” if Roy won the primary election, President Trump has done absolutely nothing to support him. In fact, his public statements have provided no support for Judge Moore whatsoever—only saying that Moore would “do the right thing” and step down IF the accusations are true.

SNIP

Of course, the National Republican Party had left Roy high and dry financially even before the accusations materialized. And since the accusations came to light, the Party has officially severed all ties with Moore’s campaign. McConnell has even gone so far as to call on the Republican-controlled Senate to immediately expel Judge Moore should he win the Senate race next month.

The National Republican Party is pathetic!

SNIP

How long did GOP leaders know about former Republican Congressman Dennis Hastert’s habitual sexual assaults against minor boys? This went on for decades, and Republicans simply looked the other way. After he was finally caught, Hastert admitted that he had been molesting boys since he was a high school wrestling coach. Not only was Hastert not expelled from Congress over his life-long pedophilia, Republicans in Congress promoted him to the number three position in government (behind only the President and Vice President): U.S. House Speaker.

Republicans stood behind Senator Bob Packwood as he was being accused by 29 different women of sexual harassment, abuse, and assaults.

SNIP

No one called for Republican Senator Larry Craig’s resignation or expulsion over his career-long homosexuality. Not McConnell. Not McCain. No one. Not until an undercover police officer arrested him in a Minneapolis airport restroom for soliciting male sex did Craig resign.

I don’t recall a single congressman or senator—Republican or Democrat—calling for the resignation or expulsion of Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank (D) even after it became public knowledge that Frank was housing a homosexual prostitute and that a homosexual escort service was being run out of his house. Where were McConnell and McCain when all of that was going on?

SNIP

Judge Moore is fighting the national news media. He is fighting the Democrat machine. He is fighting the Republican machine. He is fighting the most horrific accusations that any man could ever face. Guilty or not, many people will be tempted to believe the accusations simply because, well, he is being accused.

SNIP

As I have said many times: Roy Moore is the most hated and feared man by the Washington establishment in America. And the attacks against him prove it. And what that means is that America needs Judge Roy Moore in the U.S. Senate desperately.

Think of this too: if the establishment gets away with destroying Roy Moore, no anti-establishment candidate (regardless of political party) will be exempt from a repeat of these heinous attacks. Judge Roy Moore might be America’s last chance at political redemption.

I heard something today in defense of Al Frankin, at least in defense of the photo, not the alleged kissing while she was asleep. This left wing democrat female said that what he did isn't really groping, because he was only touching a ballistic vest, and she couldn't even feel it, so it was more a representation or simulation (trying to find the right words here) of him groping her instead of him actually groping her. In a strictly legal standpoint that might be true I guess if a case like that ever went to a court of law somewhere, but it seems like a pretty weak defense to me. She admitted that it was an inappropriate and demeaning thing to do. She also said that Sen Frankin apologized for what he did, while what Trump and Roy Moore did was far worse, and Moore never apologized for it. (not that she'd accept an apology from him anyway I think)

According to the Alabama Political Reporter, Jones described himself as “a Second Amendment guy,” but stressed that some gun control is necessary. He said, “We’ve got limitations on all constitutional amendments in one form or another.”

SNIP

During a May 2013 appearance on Rachel Maddow Lean Forward, Murphy said, “The Second Amendment is not an absolute right, not a God-given right. It has always had conditions upon it like the First Amendment has.”
This guy is trying to win with all the wrong positions in a crimson state.

But therein lies the rub, if we can't mention G*d when we mention our Rights (ToS or some other limp-wristed reason notwithstanding), how should anyone expect victory? If we remove the OBJECTIVE reason that exists outside our SUBJECTIVE individual preference, there is no moral OUGHT, there is only the messenger, which, can and has been ridiculed mercilessly since time began (who among us is perfect?). Our argument, without an external moral law-giver is reduced to mere culinary preference and our own hedonistic desires. When we proudly exclaim that we are the potter and we form the clay, we are reduced to arguments about our favorite ice cream flavor, and undermine the cause of Liberty. Just ask Bill Nye, he thinks it's all about ice cream (Caution: forward-thinking, progressive "truth" embedded). Un-tethered to perfect justice in the afterlife, it's survival of the fittest while on earth. Lord of the Flies and how can we deceive the masses in the near future is the calling card of politicians. If we desire to return the the founding principles of our nation, we have to regain the moral authority upon which those principles stand.
