In reading the law, I really don't understand how the dissent even has a leg to stand on - federal law explicitly holds that Ohio's practice (giving notice and basing a decision on response or lack thereof) is an acceptable practice. Trying to argue that the state purges rolls based solely on failure to vote belies a fundamental lack of understanding of the English language.

In another decision that is bound to upset the left, the Supreme Court is allowing Ohio to clean up its voting rolls by targeting people who haven't cast ballots in a while.

SNIP

In a 5-4 decision, SCOTUS upheld Ohio's so-called "use it or lose it" practice, arguing, as The Hill reports, that the “Supplemental Process,” does not violate the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), which bar states from removing the names of people from the voter rolls for failing to vote.

This case was a challenge to one of the practices that Ohio uses for removing voters from its registration lists: Election boards mail notices to registered voters who have not voted in two years, asking them to confirm that they are still eligible to vote. If a voter does not return that notice, his registration is cancelled. The challengers contend that the practice violates federal voting laws, which bar states from removing registered voters from their list just because they did not vote.
Not that this will surprise *anyone* but the emphasized section above is inaccurate. They are not removed from the voter registration rolls unless they fail to return the card and fail to vote for another four years.

Correct. It takes a total of six years of voter inactivity before they can be removed.

Those opposed to the bill argued that the two years of initial inactivity started the process in motion and that it was the only thing that did so (not sure that's correct, but we'll leave it for now). They then spun the argument that it was solely voter inactivity that started the removal process, so it was violative of the law. Notice that the four liberal justices went down the line with that argument. The other part of the argument was that requiring returning the card to stop the process was prejudicial against poor people and veterans. They don't seem to have the same problem though with taking someone driver's license away for failure to respond to a BMV notice. Many things in the law provide for similar notices and failures to respond result in "you lose." The liberal argument here is specious. Alito noted that 24 million people, or about 1 in 8, voters appear to be eligible for removal from the rolls. If they can't remove dead people or people who have moved, pretty soon, there will be more eligible voters on the rolls than there are people in the jurisdiction. Of course, in the last couple of elections, there were jurisdictions where more people voted than lived in those districts, this is probably just what the liberals intend.

I'm reminded of the old saw about a person never voting Democrat until he died.

There is no more or less foreign interference with our elecrions, it all started in 2008 when a so called Constitutional Lawyer came out of nowhere and became President! His entire agenda was to destroy this Great Nation by any means possible. The Liberals are so extremely upset that Hillary lost an election that had been rigged from the highest levels in our government, the Media did everything to project that Hillary is so experienced and qualified to continue on with Obama's Destruction of the United States. Over two centuries ago people in this nation finally got Fed up with the British!

Quick clarification here,” a rather embarrassed All In host Chris Hayes told viewers. “Just want to say, earlier this hour, uh, we showed a graphic of the Florida gubernatorial race. May have caught your eye because our system had inadvertently populated some test numbers. Obviously, we do not yet have any vote totals here, the night before the election. That was a misfire. Don’t worry. I was pretty confused when I saw it up there, to see it myself.”

And, of course, MSNBC had Democrat Andrew Gillum leading the GOP’s Ron DeSantis by six-tenths of a percentage point with 99% of the ballots counted.

It's good you got a screen shot of that. Or somebody did. We'll see how close the actual numbers are. If they are identical, either MSNBC has a soothsayer oon board or voter fraud has been committed. In any case, the company should be investigated.

President Donald Trump announced Thursday night that law enforcement was investigating possible election fraud in Florida after Gov. Rick Scott appeared to win his midterm senate race.

“Law Enforcement is looking into another big corruption scandal having to do with Election Fraud in #Broward and Palm Beach,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Florida voted for Rick Scott!”

Mysteriously, thousands of additional votes from Broward County continue to be tallied by an elections official who allegedly has a history of mishandling election ballots.
In Arizona, for the first time since the polls closed, Democrat Kyrsten Sinema has taken the lead over Republican Martha McSally in that state's US senate race. After flipping 5 Democratic Senate seats on Tuesday, giving up the Arizona Seat to the Dems while losing the seat nominally won by Scott would erode Republicans' gains in the Senate - but it wouldn't totally cancel them out, according to the Daily Caller.

In Arizona, early voting led to more than 75% of ballots being cast by mail.

Sinema took the lead after 120,000 votes from Maricopa County were dumped on Thursday night. Sinema is now leading McSally by 9,610 votes, or 0.5%, 932,870 to 923,260.
The fun continues...

A former candidate for the United States House of Representatives from Georgia’s 7th Congressional district told Big League Politics that the district, which was declared a Republican victory on Tuesday, is now in danger of flipping from red to blue.

“We’ve got serious issues here in Georgia with our voting machines,’ said Shane Hazel, who ran in the Republican primary in GA-07. “The machines in Georgia can be hacked by middle schooler in minutes. It’s been proven. We’ve had seminars where adults and children have come in and showed us.”

It seems that Democrats are openly trying to steal the elections in Florida. Friday night, GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz said he was removed by riot police in Broward County as he captured officials secretly loading boxes onto trucks outside the Broward County election supervisor’s office.

“I took this video as the riot police removed me from where trucks were secretly loading stuff in/out of Broward Supervisors office. All this while they are violating constitutional rights & a court order!” Gaetz tweeted.

Removing/adding paper ballots takes a physical presence.

Manipulating the voting machines only takes changing a bit or two electronically and can probably be done remotely.

Democrats have never changed. Recall the Battle of Athens Tennessee 1946. From 1936 to 1946, the Democrats ran the county without remorse and without opposition once most of the men were away fighting for their country.
McMinn County Court, which was still dominated by Republicans, directed the county to purchase voting machines. The Cantrell Democrats countered by having Woods get a bill passed in Nashville abolishing the court and then selling the machines to “save the county money.” Department of Justice records show investigations of electoral fraud in McMinn County in 1940, 1942, and 1944 —all without resolution.
In the summer of 1945 veterans began returning home; by 1946 the streets of Athens overflowed with uniforms. The Cantrell forces were not worried. Bill White recalled coming home from overseas with mustering-out pay in his pocket: “There were several beer joints and honky-tonks around Athens; we were pretty wild; we started having trouble with the law enforcement at that time because they started making a habit of picking up GIs and fining them heavily for most anything—they were kind of making a racket out of it.
The veterans fielded candidates for five offices, but interest centered on the race for sheriff between Knox Henry, who had served in the North African campaign, and Paul Cantrell. Since the 1936 election Cantrell had gone on to the legislature as state senator and installed Pat Mansfield as sheriff of McMinn County. A big, jovial sometime engineer for the Louisville & Nashville, Mansfield had done very nicely for himself during his term of office: his four years as sheriff had netted him an estimated $104,000. But now, in 1946, Cantrell was running for sheriff and Mansfield for state senator.
The Cantrell forces had calculated that if they could control the first, eleventh and twelfth precincts in Athens and the one in Etowah, the election was theirs. The ballot boxes from the Water Works (the eleventh) and the Dixie Cafe (the twelfth) were safely in the jail. The voting place for the first precinct, the courthouse, was barricaded by deputies who held four GIs hostage, and Paul Cantrell himself had Etowah under control.

By 6:00 P.M. it seemed to be over. GI headquarters was deserted, and unhappy crowds moved quietly along the streets. Another election had been stolen, and nothing could be done about it.

At the Strand Movie Theater across from the courthouse, the marquee read: “Coming Soon: Gunning for Vengeance.”

Bill White, who had fought in the Pacific while still in his teens and come home an ex-sergeant, had gotten angrier as the day wore on. At two in the afternoon he had harangued the group of veterans in the Essankay, saying: “You call yourselves GIs—you go over there and fight for three and four years—you come back and you let a bunch of draft dodgers who stayed here where it was safe, and you were making it safe for them, push you around. … If you people don’t stop this, and now is the time and place, you people wouldn’t make a pimple on a fighting GI’s butt. Get guns…”
You will have to read the article to find out who won the Battle of Athens Tennessee. The question that we need to ask ourselves is will similar measures need to be taken to day to ensure the survival of our Republic?

It's a long read but well worth it: https://www.americanheritage.com/content/battle-athens

Here's a good video synopsis except the commentators stop short of calling the dictators of McMinn County Democrats. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtrsk1HmOKU

A) People don't learn from history.

B) People think that the ballot box is healthy and will bring about change.
They even get a sticker, like elementary school students, when they vote. NO thought is given to who counts votes, the methods of voting or anything that goes on behind the scenes.

Of Liberty's four boxes, which hasn't been corrupted? Shall we ask the Bundy family?

American citizens are pouring into the Gwinnett County Election Board Office in Georgia as of press time Tuesday to “Stop The Fraud” that is threatening to turn the Peach State’s election process into absolute chaos.

Republican Brian Kemp, the declared winner of the governor’s race, has begun his transition to office as Governor-Elect, but the Stacey Abrams campaign and the Georgia Democrats are running a persistent effort to prolong provisional vote-counting in some counties, despite no statistical possibility of an Abrams win or recount. The Democrats are using phone banking, emails, texts, and even a campaign-style ad to find provisional ballots that were allegedly disenfranchised, although many of the ballots were rejected for reasons including non-citizens voting and non-registered persons voting.

A Republican congressional candidate from New Mexico is on the verge of being beaten by a Democratic opponent after she says thousands of ballots mysteriously appeared after the election.

“Everybody goes to bed on Tuesday night thinking that I’ve been declared the winner, and then suddenly on Wednesday morning they start hearing that there were 8,000 ballots that came up out of nowhere,” Rep. Yvette Herrell (R-N.M.) said on Fox News Tuesday night.

A Santa Fe New Mexican report said that it took election officials all night last Tuesday to count the 8,000 absentee ballots, up from just over 3,000 during the 2016 presidential campaign – where overall voter turnout was much higher. One county was still counting provisional ballots as of Monday, adding 1,100 Democrat votes to the final tally for Xochitl Torres Small, Herrell’s opponent.
