DAYTON — A teen used a sword to protect his mother from her ex-boyfriend who kicked in the door at their Dayton home and held her at gunpoint.
story then lists details, ends with
In the hallway, she said Webb stood over her with a handgun. That’s when her teenage son got a sword from his bedroom and charged at him and slashed his arm. Webb then ran from the home, according to the report.
Webb later arrived at Grandview Medical Center, where police took him into custody on suspicion of aggravated burglary. He is no longer in jail.
It doesn't say he bonded out, or what the reason was he was allegedly released after being charged.
If the kid used a real samurai sword as the picture seems to suggest, the guy is lucky he didn't lose an arm.
Most of the swords I've seen for general sale, probably wouldn't slash someone's arm, but they might break it. This was either a quality piece or had been sharpened significantly.
