More proof that the confiscating all guns won't work

Post by AlanM »

Pretty much anyone with any machining knowledge at all is well aware that it take next to nothing to be able to construct a workable firearm.
The gun banners that think that all guns can be removed from the world (or just the UK or the US) are living in a dream world.

Here's a YouTube video showing a Colonial Williamsburg blacksmith and helper make a flintlock rifle.
With no power tools.
It's nearly an hour long, pack a lunch.

Is rifling hard to do with modern tools?
I stumbled upon this today.
Making a Rifled Barrel without Machine Tools
He starts with a 7/8" grade 8 bolt because it's pre-threaded for a receiver.
The audio is seriously annoying, sorry.

Note: He shows how to make a rifling button by hand. A quick Google shows that, at least here in the US, purchasing the tools to drill and rifle a gun barrel is all that expensive.

If you aren't part of the solution, then you obviously weren't properly dissolved.
