My husband makes custom holsters- Mostly hybrids and the occasional all kydex.

I had him make me a purple one (we are both left handed and have the same guns so he tends to steal mine!)

I do like purple- and OWB is so comfortable, I love this thing so much that I almost want to open carry just to show it off!

Nice gun! Nice holster.

However, it looks like you may need a better belt.

Try Wilderness Belts

or even better

Ares Gear--Ranger Belts

A good holster deserves a good belt (and it makes OWB carry much more pleasant).

^ One thing about *really* stiff belts and women's anatomy (waistline/hips) - it may or may not work out, due to comfort.

Jake of Ares Gear, when a fellow classmate - female, of-course - wanted to purchase one of his Ranger Belts, advised her that she'll want to try it out for a bit before she buys: that sometimes, the rigidity of the belt sitting on top of the hips may cause severe discomfort, particularly over extended periods of time. It's a very personal-comfort issue, so different female shooters will perceive this differently. I certainly know plenty of women shooters who wear the Ranger or Enhanced Ranger belts, but yes, I've also met some who couldn't bear to have that kind of rigidity riding atop their hips.

I think that for anyone who may have trouble getting comfortable with a really stiff belt, compromising by using a wide yet softer belt can still allow the holster to be properly secured - but this may require that the belt be drawn quite tight against the waist/hips.

Supporting diversity....in holster options.

Yes that belt was the $15 Dickies belt from Walmart....

I just got my belt from Dan in the mail a couple days ago... It is awesome

I should probably take a pic with the new belt to do justice for my holster

Hell I know "he-men" who claim these stiff purpose built belts are too rigid for regular wear. Then they go to a softer belt and if the carry gear has some heft, next thing you know they're groaning about an aching back.
I'll take the occasionally sore hip over a messed up spine anytime.

Yes Allen I know women and men are put together differently around the mid torso (as well as some other areas :P ) but honestly, a gun that weighs somewhere near two pounds loaded, plus the spare mag(s) and other gear need a strong belt not a floppy one even if it's wide.

^ I'm just putting out there what the maker of the belt said himself as open advice to someone who was standing in front of him, picking a pre-made belt off his Vendor table. He was being brutally honest in conveying the advantages and potential disadvantages.

You know me - to me, it's all about finding the right compromise for the individual. :) Comfort is subjective.

The "floppy" belt can work just fine, as long as it cinched tight. That, though, may itself be objectionable to some. That's how I started off, and eventually I found that I preferred a much stiffer belt that's fastened with "normal" tension around my waist, rather than a less rigid belt cinched tight.

Absolutely right! The ladies of Cowboy Action Shooting discussed that very matter; Mernickle (may his tribe increase!) is a noted holster and beltmaker, and his belts for the ladies are cut to allow for the feminine hip-flare that's absent on a male's android pelvis.

A gun that's only 2 pounds loaded? Don't tell those 1911 folks, that's just the off-side mag pouch to them
