Thanks all to the advice given on how to introduce your wife to being more aware of her surroundings...I will be trying it out.

I have my CHL and really do not carry "full-time". However, I carry whenever myself and our daughter are going out without my husband (Rev) who is also CHL. My class made me much more comfortable with handling a firearm as well as more situationally aware when I am out and about.
The increase in my situational awareness has rubbed off on our daughter and she is much more aware of her surroundings than before. I would encourage your wife to go to class and at least learn about firearms. I think she will value the education.

Life is short, handle with prayer and a good handgun at your side.
