Women on Target Clinics

Post by spiralseawind »

Didn't see this mentioned anywhere else on the site and think that its a great way to introduce a lady to guns. As an added bonus its from the Women of the NRA.

Just find the state in question and ta-dah! ...Ohio has 2.

If anyone else knows about something like this, I would love to hear about it.

Ashland Lake had one last month. I know they're planning one for next year as well from talking with the woman who will be helping to organize it.

The one at Black Wing in August is full, but we are hosting another on Oct 17th. Handguns and shotguns and lunch...now that's a good time :wink:

I noticed that the link which the OP provided shows a picture of a man with a woman.

I thought all the instructors were women, which is why I have not volunteered for the clinics.

Thanks for informing me (in a roundabout way) otherwise!
Yes, I do believe in open carry. An openly armed man is clear in his intentions. Concealed carriers are sneaks and skulkers and elitist, boot licking, political contribution making, running dog lackies of The Man. <wink> (thx grumpycoconut - OpenCarry.org)

There is a WOT clinic in Sept. at The Pickaway County Sportsman inc. I'm not sure of the date, my wife just got the info this week.

@NRATC Do they usually fill up fast?
@BB62 Yay! Volunteer away.
@shooterwolf Hope she goes, I think there should be more women with guns. I might be biased, as I am a lady.

I have been encouraging my friends to go to the clinics when space is available/it isn't too far, and have found out that most of them are more than willing to go. It's pretty cool, should have mentioned it earlier.

My wife has been shooting shotguns and pistols for a dozen or so years. She is going as moral support for a friend of hers.
