There is a school of thought that one has not really "lived" until one has had to raise children. I'm not a strict member of that school but I WILL say that life does not end with either marriage or childbirth, despite what my few bachelor buddies think.
However, waiting until you have finished your education and established yourself financially is probably a fairly good idea.
Glad to know that marriage and babies isn't life ending Morne! lol Seriously though, sometimes I wonder if hanging out w/ the men of the family hasn't somehow been responsible for my fear of settling down. But in any case, I am a firm believer in establishing oneself first, and I'd like to use my degree and save some money before adventuring into anything life-changing!
I always enjoy listening to what others have to say about it all. I have sort of been cut off from reality, as I've been in college for so long. And really, it's wierd as most of my friends are in the 29-30 age range, but none have had babies yet and most are only engaged at this point. So, I have not really been exposed to the whole marriage and babies thing yet. Maybe that's why I don't have the settle-down-bug? I also come from a family with no divorces in it, and I think that has set the bar really high.
So in the meantime, I'm having fun and experiencing new things - hopefully, the best is yet to come
PS: for those in northern ohio, maybe there'll be a meet-n-eat sort of thing sometime up that way and I can meet some of you as well!
