Had to notify last night while claiming a deer that had just been hit by a car.

Officer approached, I informed and he didn't miss a beat. He said, "That's cool," and went on like normal. Even helped me load the deer in the car. All-in-all, pretty much a non-event and a very professional encounter.

Was it a buck or doe?

The deer not the cop.

It was a mature doe - very nice size with a lot of undamaged meat!
