Notify at an accident

Post by chadwimc »

On my way to work the other night, an elderly gent ran a red light, ramming me right in my door. At about 40 mph...
Anyhow, after climbing/being extracted from the wreckage by the firemen, a Cincinnati cop arrives.
With lights in my face, a sphygmomanometer on my arm, some little doohickey on my finger, I lean over and whisper to the cop
"...Is this where I tell ya I got a concealed carry permit and a pistol in my pocket ?..."
Cop: "Is it secure? Do you know where it is?"
"Its in my pocket"
Cop: "Just leave it there until these guys are done. No problem".

He did tell me later that the fire department finds handguns all the time at wrecks.

S&W 642...Like the commercial says "Don't leave home without it..."

Um, yeah, blood pressure cuff...

5 airbags deployed. My seat was ripped loose. The right front tire was snapped off.
My sternum *REALLY* hurts...

I firmly believe the bags saved me lotsa grief. Although somebody told me Ford still uses re-enforcement in their doors...

That little doohickey on your finger? Pulse oximeter. Gives a reading of your blood oxygen saturation and your pulse too. :D

Glad you're ok. Quite a wallup, I'm sure!

It looks like you were traveling from the bottom of the picture , to the top of the picture and that the wagon was traveling from the left side of the picture to the right side of the picture. When impact occurred, it appears that the wagon pushed you across several lanes, and spun him in an orientation similar to your intended direction. Is this correct?
How far from the utility pole was your vehicle?
