City BBQ tonight

Post by techguy85 »

Having dinner, minding our own business at City BBQ tonight.
Guy 1: You need to learn how to drive.
Guy 2: You shouldn’t have blocked me in.
Guy 1: I could just get my pistol out of my truck, what are you going to do to stop me?
Guy 2: You should just leave. I’m an attorney and this is harassment, I’m calling the police.
Guy 1: Why do you have to do that?
Guy 2 wisely gets on the phone with 911.

Yeah, I wanted to leave, but Guy 1 always seemed to be between me and the door or right outside the door.
I definitely felt better once CPD showed up with 4 cars and UA sent 3.
All ended well. My pistol stayed in it’s holster and covered.

I don't know, I didn't stay to watch. Once the officers had control of the situation I left.

Henderson Road? Last time I was at that City BBQ, there were two uniformed LEOs in front of me in line. What I found interesting is that one of them seemed to be set up for cross-draw.

Yes, Henderson. I was worried that Guy 1 was going to actually carry out his threat, but thank God he either didn't have a gun or decided not to use it.
Just goes to show, anything can happen, any time. You know that in your head, but having it reminded like this is crazy. I was armed, but not because I expected anything to happen tonight. Rather it is just my natural habit to carry everywhere it is legal, even when I'm just running out for a quick meal.

Yeah, I'd be worried too. Good thing you were alert and prepared and that nobody got hurt. What was the police response time anyway?

The first couple of cars were there within 5 minutes. A few minutes thereafter the rest showed up. I didn't count the officers, just the cars.

And if you would have stayed as a witness you'd have to tell him you were carrying. Not a big deal, but silence can be golden.

If I would have thought it would make a difference I would have stuck around. But there were plenty of other people there and I walked right by Guy 2 and an officer and neither of them asked me anything. I wouldn't have had any problem notifying, I was completely legal in there.

Hmmm- beef brisket ....
I enjoy the City BBQ in Findlay, it doesn't seem as exciting as this current location.
