I am new to the forum posting but have been reading these forums for quite some time. I would just like to share with you something that just happened to me here in Wooster. I work as a finance manger for a car dealership here in wooster. Over night we have 8 - 10 cars broken into and cd players stolen out of them. When the sales manager is not here i am second in command. When the police got here they first dealt with the service manager, then Dave- service manger, came up to get me. I announced to the officer i have a ccw - he said what? ( this is a sergent by the way ) i said again i have a concealed carry permit and handed it to him. He had a blank stare in his eyes as he looked at it, then said real poop like - "ok?" , kind of in the tone like and your point is? he then handed me back my permitaccording to the law i am familer with I must tell the offcier i am carrying. I think i followed the law, to me it seems as if this officer didnt know the law and he was a sergent! Any input?

If you are carrying, you should inform. Some may argue whether that was a "law enforcement stop". I believe it was, and it is certainly better to be safe than sorry. You did the right thing.

Sgt couldn't read department postings regarding CCW, too smeared with powdered surgar. Sounds like he was totally unaware of requirements specified in HB12 and attendant ORC, at least he didn't blow a fuse and do a real dumb.
Keep a keen mind, eye and edge.

The only scary part is if the cop is too dumb to know the law, he might be more likely to hassle you about it........ at least he was dumb and benevolent.
