The school staffs excuse was that they didn't see the gun and the guy wasn't acting violent before they let him in. He allegedly didn't do anything for 3 hours until he allegedly pulled a stolen handgun on the cops. Besides, if he would've committed a mass shooting, it wasn't the fault of the school staff or security anyway, it's the fault of law abiding gun owners (and the NRA and or Trump) like it always is per the teachers union. <sarcasm>
DARBY, Pa. (WPVI) --
A man accused of bringing drugs and a gun into a Delaware County school has been arraigned in connection to the incident.
Nahzer Sabree, 21, of Philadelphia, is facing a number of weapons charges and drug offenses in relation to the incident on Friday morning.
Darby Borough Police Chief Robert Smythe called this a major security breach.
It all began around 9 a.m. Friday at the Park Lane Elementary School. According to police, Sabree was seen outside acting strangely and shirtless in 37 degree weather.
Even so, he was buzzed into the school.
"Who was thinking with their brains here? Obviously nobody. I'll be honest with you, I think they're brainless," said Smythe.
Sabree, a man with a lengthy criminal record, was rummaging through bags on the ground outside the school. He was later let in to talk to Principal Dawn Watson-Bouie about a bag he supposedly misplaced.
But despite the fact that the school, like all Delco schools, has a panic button that alerts police agencies, investigators say the button was never pushed and police were not notified until three hours later when Sabree returned angrily demanding his missing bag.
It turns out he was carrying narcotics and a stolen .40 caliber handgun that he tried to pull on arresting officers.
