Summit county: 2 CHLs in road rage incident

Post by rickt »

Two drivers involved in a road rage incident on Interstate 77 Saturday night exchanged gunfire, with one of them injured.

The passengers in one of the vehicles, including two children, weren’t injured, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.

The altercation happened about 11:15 p.m. on I-77 south in Green. Sheriff’s deputies say the drivers encountered each other between South Arlington and Massillon roads. They collided and stopped on the side of the interstate, deputies say.

Great. Another stick of firewood for the anti-gun crowd. Makes all CHL 's look bad.

Keep an eye peeled on this story. More than once the report of having CHLs turns out to be a big fat lie in error. And never corrected later.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

I wonder if that's the accident we saw along 77 on our way home from the USPSA match in Canal Fulton.
They were on the southbound side of the highway, and one of the vehicles was spun around facing the wrong direction. Thought that was pretty odd for the small amount of traffic on the road at that hour. We saw at least 6 cruisers en-route to the scene. Was thinking it was a slow saturday night for that many cars to be responding to an accident. I guess if it wasn't just an accident that response makes a bit more sense.
