A man walked into a Roanoke gaming parlor early Tuesday and opened fire before being shot and killed by an employee, police said.
Through the course of the investigation, it was found that Burnette entered the business with a firearm and fired several rounds,” Cline said in a news release.

“Burnette was fatally shot by an employee of the business, who was also armed,”

I had to figure out what the hell a "Gaming Parlor" in Virginia is.

It turns out that although casinos and greyhound racing are illegal in Virginia, having an internet "cafe" setup for online poker and other betting isn't. They also sell lottery tickets.

Sugar Ray's Gaming, Roanoke, VA.

At the end of the article the authorities were working on "possible charges". That should be interesting to see.
