Magnum
Just was watching the new MAGNUM TV series commercial (less Tom). And, OMG, it shows guns! I thought Hawaii was one of the most restricted gun state in the US. But I suppose that since it is being filmed/produced in Hawaii it's OK. Hawaii is making money off of the production of the series and after all it's just a TV show and doesn't actually reflect the repressive gun laws forced on it's citizenry. I haven't heard of any anti-gun politicians complaining about it. After all, we all know money talks. (yeah, I'm being sarcastic)

Re: Magnum
CBS has had full blown production studios, sets, etc. in Hawaii for maybe 60 years or more. I've read that the network honchos (the bean counters, anyhow) get upset if the facilities are sitting there idle for a length of time. Hence, the reboot of Hawaii Five-0, and now Magnum.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

Re: Magnum
It is interesting that these guys shoot multiple people dead each week and spend no time on administrative leave. That's just for starters. I spotted a show called Hollywood weapons which tests out the things done in TV and Movies with weapons (swords and stuff, not just guns). BTW, the JAWS shot blowing up the scuba tank won't work. Most of the stuff in these shows don't actually work (although a lot of them are basically possible but not likely).
God,
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can
and the Wisdom to know the difference.
Carrying a gun is a right, not a crime.
Gun control is racist.

From watching Hawaii Five-0 I got the impression that machine guns were as common as pineapples in Hawaii.

Re: Magnum
Not only that, but you can be a private collector of machine guns and you will invite someone you don't know into your house to show him your collection. This anti gunner will then kill you with a handgun, steal all your toys and shoot up a courthouse. If the judge (who is a concealed carrier) tries to stop the killer, even while the killer is distracted, the CC will be completely unsuccessful, and will only get shot by the anti gunner for his efforts.WestonDon wrote:From watching Hawaii Five-0 I got the impression that machine guns were as common as pineapples in Hawaii.
