Failure to notify nabs another Ohio CHL holder

Post by Bruenor »

Blotter is pretty light on details, sounds like it's an add-on charge due to whatever else occured.

BROOK PARK, Ohio -- Disorderly conduct, carrying concealed weapon; Holland Road: A Cleveland man, 21, was arrested at about 10 p.m. July 15 after he interfered with a traffic stop.

Police had pulled over a vehicle for traveling on a closed road. The man, who was not drunk, was walking on the road. Police didn't say exactly how he interfered with the traffic stop or if he was connected to the driver.

The man also faces charges for carrying a concealed weapon because, although he had a CCW permit, he did not initially tell officers he possessed a weapon, as required by law.

That is correct.

I wonder what this person did to “interfere” with a traffic stop and when or how he was “stopped for a law enforcement purpose”.

If I had to put money on it I’d say the man was filming the police stop while armed. They didn’t like it and it escalated from there.
