A retired officer from Alabama was the person who shot a man Douglas County deputies said was pointing a gun and firing at random people on a multi-county crime spree, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by 9NEWS.

The suspect, identified as Austin Benson, now faces six charges for attempted first-degree murder as well as one count of attempted aggravated robbery.

I call BS on this story. The AR-15 is an extra lethal, high powered, fully semi automatic, evil military grade weapon of war. No one could survive being shot once by these assault weapons designed only to kill all while equipped with a shoulder thing that go up, let alone being shot twice. Fiction I tell ya, fiction...

And while I'm at it, why did this guy need to bring such a huge arsenal of weapons like that with him while camping?

Ignorant or Stupid, I'm not sure which is worse. If someone were stupid, at least they'd have an excuse for all the dumb things they say.

Pass the Peace Pipe I need another hit

IANAL and neither are most people on this board, its just shows more with some than others.

It could only do this if it was equipped with a bump stock. And only a "well-trained" officer of the law can handle, and as such own, this kind of equipment.
