I'd like to hear what the police have to say about this one too.. if the dog is sitting on the porch on private property, what was the justification for shooting at it ? If it starts charging you that might be a different story.
She says this all started when a neighbor called the police to report 5-year-old Neo was loose in the neighborhood and allegedly chasing someone.
Walker said when police got to her home, the Cane Corso was on its own front porch, but the officers started shooting at her anyway.
Neo is expected to be fine, but Walker wants answers from police. She says there were five children and two adults inside the home during the shooting.
"Why would you let off that many shots into an occupied home? You see cars in the driveway, you see toys all across the yard," she asked.
"Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property. . . Horrid mischief would ensue were the law-abiding deprived of the use of them."

"Malo periculosam, libertatem quam quietam servitutem."
Better hope there's a solid justification, because if the shooting was outside the scope of their duties it's a second degree felony to shoot at an inhabited dwelling.
Walker showed News 5 several bullet holes in her front door and shell casings she recovered.
I'm curious about the "why" aspect also, but in addition:
An officer involved shooting and she was able to recover the alleged shell casings?
Allegedly several rounds and the dogs leg is injured from one of the rounds ?
djthomas wrote:To be fair, this is East Cleveland. The shell casings she recovered may or may not be related to the incident in question.

If you aren't part of the solution, then you obviously weren't properly dissolved.
