So I'm wondering what this guy was convicted of. looking at the firearms pictured, this is someones collection not someone who is running guns.

Authorities have seized more than 550 guns at two Southern California homes and made one arrest after getting a tip that a convicted felon was storing an arsenal.

Sixty-year-old Manuel Fernandez was arrested last week after Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies and state and federal investigators raided his Agua Dulce home.

Officials Monday say the searchers found 432 rifles and handguns - some decades old - at his home on the 34700 block of Caprock Road Thursday morning.

'This case is a testament to the community's involvement in reducing crime and taking guns out of the hands of criminals,' Sheriff Jim McDonnell said.

It's unclear what felony he was previously convicted of. He was sentenced to 486 days in jail in February 2017, and was released in August 2017, according to jail records.

Unable to do any court searches in CA without paying for the search, hoping one of hte news sites will enlighten us eventually to what his conviction was that made him a felon, but I'm not holding my breath.

And since it was California, he probably couldn't sell any of his collection anyway.

'The swift response of our Palmdale Sheriff's Station personnel and the assistance provided by our partners at the California Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms,' McDonnell said in a statement, adding that the effort 'showed the positive result of our campaign, "See Something, Say Something."'

A "tip" brings forth a search warrant and results in a great deal of property (computers, cell phones, hard drives) being removed from a person who had recently done felony time.

What would be the proper response from the NRA / proRKBA groups?
A) Celebrate that existing laws are being enforced. (optionally endorse Sx4)
B) Say nothing - supposing neutrality.
C) Publicly decry the legal system that has this individual in its clutches ("Prohibited Person"), but offer no resources to defend this individual.
D) Help this individual fight the charges and regain his property with resources.

Aside from the PR angle, what is just? What is appropriate in this case?
How would you like your donated labors to be spent in this case?
If there are other options, please discuss them.

I'm not sure of the legalities, but I am definitely impressed with the collection. No weasily "arsenal" of only a few guns here!
