Couple CHLs in police blotters

Post by rickt »

I suppose when you have 600,000 licensees a few idiots are inevitable.

Westlake:
Impaired driving and a firearm, Clemens Road: The clerk at a Shell gas station called police about 12:50 a.m. May 31 about a disorderly customer.

The argument involved the purchase of cigarettes, according to police. Officers said the 33-year-old Westlake woman, who was still argumentative, appeared intoxicated. Officers arrested her for disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

The 47-year-old Olmsted Falls man who drove her to the gas station also appeared intoxicated and told officers he probably shouldn't have been driving.

Police arrested the man for operating a vehicle while impaired. They also discovered he had a conceal and carry permit and a handgun was in the glove compartment of his car. Officers added a charge of improper handling of a firearm to his charges. The car was towed from the scene.

PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Drug abuse, Stony Creek: On May 25, police observed a car on Stony Creek owned by a woman with a suspended license.

While searching the car, police found marijuana and a gun. While the woman did have a CCW permit, she failed to inform the officer. The woman was cited for driving with a suspended license, drug abuse and carrying a concealed weapon.
