What The Alfie Evans Case Taught Us About the Second Amend

Post by bignflnut »

In the absence of an armed populace, the government in the UK was free to grow enormously without threat of revolt by displeased people. British citizens stood by and watched the erosion of their personal liberties and allowed themselves to come to a place where the government is able to dictate what parents are allowed to do when seeking to better the well being of their child.

SNIP

The parents of Alfie Evans were not seeking to harm their child, but rather, to give him a better chance of survival and eventually regaining health. The bureaucrats of Britain’s socialized healthcare system essentially held Alfie hostage and condemned him to die, punishing the parents for seeking to help their baby.

The citizens of the US must fight to have their right to bear arms remain intact, otherwise the state will grow in size to a level similar to the UK, where bureaucrats get to choose if a baby is allowed to be given a fighting chance or not. An armed populace is the only deterrent of massive government overreach. Once the government is able to decide whether a patient should be allowed to continue to fight against their horrible affliction or to force them to give up and die, we very quickly move towards a state where the government is able to determine what lives are worth living and which are not. Does this sound crazy to you? Maybe because it is/ Bureaucrats deciding the value of a person’s life is eugenics in its natural form.

Americans should view this as a wake up call as to why the second amendment is so crucial to protecting us from an unimaginably dystopian government structure.

This baby, which apparently did have a terminal illness, died of starvation and dehydration. They declared Alfie was terminally ill and wanted to take him off a ventilator. The parents appealed to the Pope who engineered the Italian government to declare Alfie and Italian citizen and offered free health care using Vatican funds. Now the bureaucrats in Britain, being relieved of any burdern, doubled down (backed by the courts) and insisted that 1) Alfie be taken off life support and 2) Alfie not be allowed to be transported to Italy as a legal immigrant to save his life. Alfie was taken off life support and continued to breath on his own, which the doctors had declared under oath was impossible. After he wasn't dying like they thought he would, they stopped feeding and hydrating him. The parents begged and pleaded that he at least be fed, hydrated and given oxygen. His death was an intentional act by the government. IF the parents had done this same thing to Alfie, they would have received long prison sentences.

The simple truth is that they just wanted to kill the kid and were bound and determined that nothing was going to stop them.

Death panels is an appropriate description.

Armed populace, knived populace, or spooned populace or whatever the Red Coats may be nowawdays.... Shame on them for taking that lying down.

When talking gets you nowhere, violence may become justified. In this case, sadly they've already been unarmed. If this happens in America, I hope a thousand plus armed Citizens get in the way of any government sanctioned death panel and get that kid his right to life. And don't show up with empty chambers..... And have your wills in order. Stand to the death for a cause or don't stand up at all.
Good luck and stand fast, true Patriots.

Here's a tea drinking Brit lady who defended herself with what looks to be a novelty crossbow:

Image
A 49-Year-old grandmother has defended her house and herself with a crossbow in England. it was about 9 p.m. on 17 April in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, England. Three masked men, armed with a machete and a hammer, burst into Anji Rhys home. The man with the machete tried to grab the crossbow after she snatched it off the wall. She was able to turn and fire it into his abdomen.

SNIP

The Redback Pistol crossbow was taken as evidence, but was not confiscated. The Armex crossbow pistol show in the picture would deliver about 175 fps with a 104 grain bolt. That is about 7 foot-pounds or 10 joules of energy.

The Redback Pistol crossbow is not the one shown in the picture. The Redback is advertised as delivering 235 feet per second velocity. The Redback is advertised at about $63, with three bolts.

It's amazing how in British news you get all the details of the weapons involved, including the weapon pictured and how it's different than the actual one used. Meanwhile in the U.S., the news media rarely gives any details, and if they do they are usually totally wrong.

It was the semi-fully automatic AR Glock assault rifle.
