Police responded to a 911 call reporting a self-defense shooting in the 1700 block of South Pelzer Road at 7 p.m. Friday night. Ronald D. Blackford Jr. was found lying wounded on the ground, according to a Warrick County Sheriff's office news release. He was later pronounced dead by medical personnel on the scene.
The sheriff's office completed a preliminary investigation, "which included survelliance video that recorded the entire incident," according to the release.
Authorities determined "that no charges are warranted at this time," the release said
