Woman cited after leaving gun in Home Depot restroom

Post by rickt »

Highland Heights police blotter:
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ohio

A Home Depot customer found a holstered handgun in the women's restroom April 22. Officers were able to locate the registered owner. The Euclid woman, 48, had a CCW permit, but was subsequently cited for failing to secure her weapon.
"cited for failing to secure her weapon"'? What part of ORC is that?

Not to mention since when does Euclid have handgun registration ? they did after all say 'registered owner'.

Maybe they got some help from BATFE.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

Saying they traced the gun to the original purchaser with the assistance of the BATFE doesn't push the narrative of firearms needing to be registered. More dishonesty from the press... makes you wonder if it's ignorance or willful deception to continue pushing the narrative.

That's how I read it - lazy or deliberately inaccurate reporting.

Another possibility is that she left her CHL with the firearm. They said it was a holstered handgun.

Yet, they don't say how it was holstered. With that said, they probably traced the firearm back to the owner because she may have left her CHL with a gun in a purse that was designed to also holster the weapon.
