The Minneapolis police officer who fatally shot an Australian woman in July was charged with murder Tuesday after he turned himself in when a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The criminal complaint remained sealed by midday Tuesday, but according to the jail roster Noor was booked on a third-degree murder charge for perpetrating an eminently dangerous act while showing a "depraved mind." The second-degree manslaughter charge alleges he acted with "culpable negligence creating unreasonable risk."

"Charged with murder" is a l-o-n-g way from "convicted of murder", a month of Sundays from "sentenced for murder conviction" and even further from both those things after the appeals process.

We will see how big a payout he costs the city.
The former Minneapolis police officer charged in the shooting death of Justine Ruszczyk Damond once put a gun to a driver’s head during a traffic stop and sometimes ignored calls, according to court filings indicating that psychiatrists and training officers voiced concerns about his fitness for duty.
Would be nice if they went after some of his supervisors and higher-ups as well for turning a blind eye to the behavior and the concerns.
