It is simple, take down all the No Guns Allowed signs and put up Staff May Be Armed. They will never know!

So according to this guy (near end of video) he was vocal about being against teachers having guns in schools.

Ah, isn't that what psychiatrists call 'projection'? In this case not only through words, but also projecting of a projectile.

Just in case anyone has an issue with viewing the news video, here is another source (not flash) which might work on your device. It looks to be the same video.

I keep hearing from antis, some teachers especially, that teachers just can’t be trusted with a firearm at school to protect students.

My answer is always, if teachers can’t be trusted with the lives of children, they have no business being in the classroom in the first place. Hearing about such low opinion some teachers have for other teachers, I’m begining to think yearly mandatory psych evaluations for teachers might not be a bad idea.

Our children should be protected and defended at school. It seems there are some common sense solutions to our violence problems that would have a very real impact, but so many don’t want to consider them and therefore the problem will continue, because it’s easier to blame the NRA and it helps push the agenda forward.

There have been decades of not employing disciplinary measures to misbehavior, there is an abdication of responsibility when it comes to confrontations or conflict between students, as socialization is occurring. As a profession, teachers have found ways to get away from the negative aspects of parenting, where consequences are applied for improper conduct over the objections of the students. Zero thinking policies have helped to alleviate responsibility and accountability of adults. Why are we surprised that some will quickly abdicate responsibility over the lives of the students?

Here's a case from 2009 where the Ohio SC said bus drivers aren't responsible for assault on the bus:
P FEIFER, J., dissenting.

{¶ 32}Ohio parents will be startled to learn that school bus drivers in this
state have but one responsibility: don’t crash the bus. A school bus can become

“Lord of the Flies” on wheels, but apparently as long as the driver maintains an
assured clear distance from other drivers, a school board faces no liability for
what happens inside. It turns out that the school bus driver’s cargo is no more
precious than that of the garbage truck driver. Just don’t crash the bus!
It's interesting that parents find schools to be places where children should be safe, because nobody is taking that legal responsibility and have set official policies in opposition to that goal.

The State will not keep you safe. Certainly not many teachers, who loathe the concepts of self-government, personal responsibility and self-defense to the point that they teach generations to rely on the same State to not keep them safe.

It does seem there's no deterrent for ill mannered yoots in some schools. The armed teachers issue is certainly for those that can and are willing. In some schools such as Akron, which has made the news recently, I just don't know.. Seems they have a lot of other issues to address before even considering arming their teachers.. :(

Last November, Rawling was body-slammed in his classroom by a 15-year-old student, moments after the teacher broke up a fight.
Rawling is among 22 teachers who have filed grievances, arguing the district is violating the contract by not expelling and/or reassigning some students who assault teachers.

"I'm just trying to highlight the fact that it's a really not a small thing. It's a big issue, a safety issue," Rawling said.

Superintendent David James and School Board President Patrick Bravo said a committee is being formed to take a closer look at school climate and disciplinary issues.
