Oh looks like the Dirtbike park may be back on the planning table. Figured it would go away once the grandson was incarcerated.. but looks like that's not going to happen now.
The grandson of Mayor Frank Jackson pleaded guilty to felony gun charges Tuesday and was placed into a diversion program for one year.
Frank Jackson Jr., 21, will have his guilty plea to charges of carrying a concealed weapon and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle wiped clean if he completes the year-long program.
He faces up to three years in prison and a $10,000 fine if he slips up.
As part of the agreement, Jackson pleaded guilty to both counts and agreed to forfeit a .40-caliber Glock pistol, a 50-round drum magazine with 42 live rounds, a 30-round magazine and a black digital scale that police found during his June arrest.
Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O'Malley's office approved allowing Jackson to enter the diversion program in exchange for his plea.
Common Pleas Judge Michael Shaughnessy accepted the plea and placed Jackson into the program, but the judge cautioned Jackson to take advantage of the program.
