Oh, the DSM acolytes are working overtime to make you think they have a solution:
The way to go about this is though the following methods:

1. A Mental Health Warrant would need to be drafted by local law enforcement to investigate the potential for violence.

SNIP

2. If approved by the Judge, an investigation would take place by local officials to determine the likelihood of threats, and would then report back to the courts.

SNIP

3. If a notable threat is found, the judge could then order a risk evaluation, the individual would then have to meet with a Forensic Psychologist to assess them for being a reasonable and identifiable threat.

SNIP

4. If the person refuses to comply with the order, then the judge can order that the individual is in contempt of a court order, and then the individual can be assessed while incarcerated.
Everybody snitchin on everyone else...getting the cops involved...so that they can take your Rights because of speech or some other expressly forbidden path around due process.

Good thing they don't do something like this to stop drunk driving...

Like I said in another post on another thread; people should be careful what they wish for. Think about the number of ex-wives that have accused their former husbands of being nut-cases.

If you don't like your neighbor, just sign an affidavit saying that you hear him howl at full moons. Then watch the cops confiscate his guns.

The mental health community is loving this. Why? It means more money in their pockets and job security. Go to the Ohio Board of Psychology web site sometime and look at the number of disciplinary cases against psychologists in Ohio. Those are just the tip of the iceberg. There are lots of psychologists that the Board protects when complaints are made.

If you want some real comedic entertainment, go to the Board meetings sometime. They spend most of their time complementing each other, texting on their cell phones and talking about what to do on their next retreat.

Also look who wrote the article in the OP's link to the story. He is a forensic psychologist that makes BIG bucks conducting psychological evaluations for court appointed work. Anyone that knows anything about these guys also knows that they are basically hired guns for one side or the other.

The people clamoring for mental health screening would have everyone submit to a mental health evaluation before they can get a gun. Find a shrink that will sign you off for less than $200 per hour and let me know how that works for you.

Here is a good video by Patriot Nurse. It's rather lengthy. However, there are a lot of talking points to be gleaned from her discourse on the subject of prohibiting the mentally ill from owning firearms. I will say it again; be careful of what you wish for. Please take the time to listen to what she has to say:

One of the problems with preventing people with mental health problems is the wide net that is ready to be cast over many members of society. Just about anyone could be "diagnosed" with some sort of mental illness. Take PTSD for example. I'm not trying to mitigate the problems those folks have as a result of trauma or tragedy. Those problems are very real.

In addition, is there anyone who has NEVER had an incident of trauma or tragedy that didn't affect them in some way. The degree of the trauma as well as the type of individual that was subjected are significant factors on the person's well being afterward.

Take a look at this article from the VA. Read it carefully. As you read it, you will probably realize; "OMG, they are saying that I could have PTSD!" That's correct, by their definition, EVERYONE has some sort of PTSD.

Do you flinch when the Dentist probes inside your mouth? If so, you have PTSD. Do needles bother you when you go to the hospital? If so, you must have PTSD. Do you have nightmares after watching horror movies? If so, you have PTSD.

Hopefully, you get what I'm saying. If you have normal reactions to an extraordinary event then the mental health "experts" are ready to stamp PTSD on your forehead. Then in the gun-banning-utopia, you would never get a firearm.

Even if you did have some form of real PTSD that doesn't mean that you should not be denied the right to protect yourself and loved ones. As Patriot nurse pointed out, a rape victim should not ever be denied the right to protect herself just because she may seek counseling to help her get over the event.

A combat veteran should not ever be denied the right to own a gun, simply because he wants to talk about his experiences to get it off his chest.

The "keep the guns out of the hands of the mentally ill" chant is just a smoke screen. Be careful what you wish for.

From ammoland article...

''If additional safe guards were in place this tragic event could have been avoided. Mr. Cruz posted on many social media outlets his desire to become a “Professional School Shooter”.

NO. If SAFE GUARDS ALREADY IN PLACE were followed is the CORRECT text. Anyone & everyone who did not follow normal accepted protocols needs to be FIRED and/or PROSECUTED

The psychologist writing that (unbiased  :?: ) article would make sure it happens real fast so he can get paid. Note that his plan only calls for ONE psychologist to conduct the evaluation.

Read this article on this psychologist who was an "expert witness" in a custody battle. I guarantee this type of corruption goes on all the time.
https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-ne ... t-witness/

Even though this was a murder trial read this Supreme Court opinion on how one so-called court-appointed expert witness was not neutral. That court-appointed psychologist is supposed to work for an independent Judge but was working for the prosecution.
http://www.supremecourt.ohio.gov/rod/do ... io-166.pdf

The very fact that the police would order you to submit to a psychological exam on the pretext of keep society safe could plant the seed in the examiner's mind that you are, indeed, nuts. He or she could be just a rubber stamp for the cops.

Think about this; if a psychologist continued to give the "thumbs up" for people that the cops didn't like then the cops would find someone else that will give them the results that they wanted.

It happens in custody battles all the time. The attorney that requests a psychological evaluation of the entire family usually gets the favorable evaluation for their client. BTW, there are very few psychologists that are selected routinely for court-appointed work. Only a few hold the monopoly on that practice.

So if a psychologist wants repeat business from the police, her or she is going to give them the evaluation that they want. Is anyone concerned yet?

So saying a prayer over your meal in a restaurant or cafeteria could land you in the psychiatric ward. Well that's one way of separating the fake Christians from the real Christians.

Just so I don't get condemned for bashing Christians, I want to state, for the record, that I am one.
