BLM had a Kill Book at Bundy Ranch

Post by bignflnut »

“I was told by BLM law Enforcement Supervisors that he has a ‘Kill Book’ as a trophy and in essence bragged about getting three individuals in Utah to commit suicide (see Operation Cerberus Action out of Blanding, Utah and the death of Dr. Redd), the “Failure Rock,” Directing Subordinates to Erase Official Government Files in order to impede the efforts of rival civilian BLM employees in preparation for the “Burning Man” Special Event, unlawfully removing evidence, bragging about the number of OIG and internal investigations on him and indicating that he is untouchable, encouraging subordinates not to cooperate with internal and OIG investigations, his harassment of a femal Native American subordinate employee where Mr. Love allegedly had a doll that he referred to by the employee’s name and called her his drunk little Indian, etc., etc., etc.”

There were other indications of bias and possible kill list targets.

Wooten wrote, “My supervisor even took photographs in the secure command post area of the Las Vegas FBI Headquarters and even after he was told that no photographs were allowed, he recklessly emailed out photographs of the “Arrest Tracking Wall” in which Eric Parker and Cliven Bundy has “X’s” through their face and body.”

In a shocking verdict, Judge Gloria Navarro dismissed jurors Wednesday, declaring a mistrial in the Bundy Ranch case saying U.S. prosecutors willfully withheld critical and "potentially exculpatory" evidence from the defense.

Defense attorney’s asked federal prosecutors to hand over Inspector General reports on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) agent Dan Love, who directed the BLM raid on the Bundy ranch to seize the family’s cattle over decades of unpaid grazing fees. Love was fired from the agency in September for corruption and unethical behavior.

Prosecutors had dismissed the allegations and investigations of Love as an “urban legend,” but ended up handing over 500 pages worth of reports on Love in December, according to The Oregonian.

On Wednesday, it was made official by the Department of Justice that Bundy Ranch standoff prosecutor Steven Myhre was demoted to his previous position as First Assistant US attorney.

That's right, he was demoted for his violations of the law, not led away in handcuffs.

Taking his place will be Dayle Elieson, a Texas federal prosecutor.

Last year, Sessions heaped praise on Steven Myhre and his prosecution of the Bundy Ranch defendants.

“I’ve got to tell you, it’s impressive when you have a tough case, a controversial case, and you’ve got the top guy leading the battle, going to court, standing up and defending the office and the principles of the law,” Sessions said of Myhre.

“I’m not taking sides or commenting on the case,” Sessions added. “Just want to say that leadership requires, a lot of times, our people to step up and be accountable.”

Hmmm, about that accountability, Mr. Sessions. Your former acting US attorney in Nevada committed multiple Brady violations and sought to rig the trial in his favor against patriots who were calling out the lawlessness of the DC government, and what did you do? You let him keep a job in the office and got him out of the spotlight, but you failed to bring justice, something that you are supposed to be engaged in.

SNIP

By failing to bring justice against Steven Myhre, Attorney General Jeff Sessions is not aiding and abetting a criminal, who "willfully" violated his oath to the Constitution, broke federal law and violated the rights of innocent American citizens. I'm saying that just so everyone knows whose side Sessions is on here. More violations of the law by Steven Myhre are all on Jeff Sessions.
The whole thing encourages more Bundy Ranch type action when the people who are supposed to keep the scales of justice balanced decide to weigh down the non-citizen side.

In all, the federal government has likely spent a quarter of a billion dollars reacting to, imprisoning, and prosecuting the Bundys and their fellow protesters.

In October 2016, jurors in Portland acquitted the Oregon defendants in the “trial of the century.” U.S. marshals tackled and tased Ammon Bundy’s attorney in the courtroom. Ammon and Ryan Bundy were denied release and transported to a Nevada prison to face the Nevada indictment along with Cliven, brothers Dave and Mel and a dozen others (while a half-dozen others awaited a second trial in Oregon).

SNIP

Then came one of the most disgraceful “trials” in U.S. history. Parker, Drexler, Stewart and Lovelien were retried in Las Vegas in August 2017. The prosecution exploited every possible advantage, winning rulings from the judge which barred the defendants from even mentioning most of their possible defenses. (They couldn’t even say that the BLM was overbearing or heavily-armed, or even that there were government snipers above them.) Jurors were treated to a one-sided display of 2014 photos showing the men with guns while overlooking BLM officers from a bridge on Interstate 15. BLM witnesses—either exaggerating or lying—cried in the courtroom while claiming they saw the defendants pointing rifles at them. (Not a single photo or video corroborates this—and there were hundreds of cameras recording almost everything at the time; there were even Nevada trooper dashcams capturing 80 percent of the movements of the defendants during the period.)

The judge even ordered Eric Parker off the witness stand for saying he looked “up and to the right” during the 2014 “standoff.” Prosecutors strenuously objected (in a sidebar hearing) that such a statement might tell jurors that there were BLM snipers on a mesa above; and thus Parker was unable to rebut the government’s claim that he aimed his rifle down-and-to-the-left at a crying BLM agent (who was photographed very-much-not-crying at the time).

Defense lawyers were so stifled by the judge’s orders that they opted not to even make closing arguments—a gutsy move almost without precedent. It was like a cry for help to the jury. And the jury heard it loud and clear. On August 22, 2017, the jury fully acquitted Stewart and Lovelien, and acquitted Parker and Drexler of most counts. (They hung on a small number of charges for the two men.)

The not-guilty verdicts sent shockwaves throughout the Judiciary and the Justice Department. Here, in the biggest case in the country, with the prosecution spending untold millions of dollars and the judge imposing rules of evidence which almost choked the defense from speaking, the Justice Department was unable to get convictions.
$250 million spent is likely conservative.

FBI Supervisory Special Agent W. Joseph Astaritais facing several charges related to the attempted murder and coverup of shots he took at LaVoy Finicum as he exited his vehicle after dodging a roadblock setup by the FBI and Oregon State Police on January 26, 2016. However, it is coming to light now that the FBI did not want the police to wear their standard body cameras at the roadblock.

SNIP

FBI Special-Agent-in-Charge Greg Bretzing, who ran the operation in Oregon and had a sordid history with Bureau of Land Management Special-Agent-in-Charge at Bundy Ranch, Dan Love, apparently made the request regarding the body cameras.

This was made known in a motion filed by Astarita's attornies, in which they requested that four of the five charges he is facing be dismissed.

SNIP
To have the FBI’s elite Hostage Rescue Team specifically request assisting officers not wear them does not bode well for the expected outcome for the civilians involved.

In an additional apparent lack of transparency, they FBI also asked that subsequent interviews with agents not be recorded. This was, again, unusual as questioning is normally recorded, as the FBI well knows.

It would seem that the FBI had planned from the beginning to attempt to hide many of their actions, relying only on the long-range cameras from overhead planes.
