Remington struggling

Post by bignflnut »

A backlog of unsold, unwanted firearms will force Remington to operate at a loss and “pressure the company’s sales and profitability at least through early 2018, resulting in insufficient cash flow for debt service and fixed charges,” unless Remington gives up cash to pay for ongoing operations, S&P adds.

Something to this. Point Blank locally has RM380 as Black Friday doorbuster at $99.00 after $100.00 factory rebate - MSRP $370.00. Bass Pro ditto with 870's running under $200.00.

Is the ammo produced by a separate company? Few (any?) companies do both weapons and ammo.

Since all the mergers, acquisitions, etc. these last few years, I've lost track of just who makes what.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

Sad but true. Dropped their quality standards, customer support is poor when you call them on those issues, plus bad firearms releases..
I wonder how many R51's they are sitting on.

Hate to see any firearms company go under, hope they can pull themselves back together.

I just wish they had not acquired Para Ordinance and then thrown it in the trash. Really bad management.
