Did Harvey eat your carry permit?

Post by bignflnut »

The governor of TX was generous enough to let gun owners know that they'll be waiving the replacement fees if they lost their permit to Harvey.
While the normal cost for a replacement license is hardly a burden under most circumstances, it probably won’t feel that way if you’ve lost everything else on top of the permit that allows you to carry a piece of lifesaving equipment with you on a daily basis.

Now, there’s one fewer expense victims of Harvey need to concern themselves with. After all, many already need to pay for home repairs, new furniture, new clothes…basically, new lives.

Here’s hoping Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina–all states that dealt with flooding following Hurricane Irma–follow Texas in this.
How much sycophantic bootlicking is too much?
How great is Texas? How benevolent is Gov Abbott? Are you not entertained?

Thanks for reminding us that you hold the RKBA in the power of your hand, dear Governor. We almost forgot, what with the struggle to survive and all. We'll happily re-apply...

That's a pretty pessimistic way to look at a simple press release, bignflnut. Cue the wuhwuhwuh sound effect from a game show when the contestant just lost a grand prize at the end.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!
