Seriously though, when I had LEO firearms training, (in a previous century) although shoot no shoot training was part of the overall training, the regular requalification (3 mths, 4 mths, 6 mths for different depts) was all about basic marksmanship, just the ability to hit the target a given number of times at various ranges. Don't know what it's like now, but in this case the deputy did successfully hit his target, and very quickly too.
