Post by Bruenor »

U.S. Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke signed a proclamation last week to encourage participation in the shooting sports and emphasize firearms safety.

National Shooting Sports Month, advocated by the trade group of the firearms industry, was officially adopted by Zinke last Thursday. A recent appointment by President Trump, Zinke oversees the Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the National Park Service, covering about 20 percent of the land in the country.
Promoting the Benefits of the Shooting Sports to Individuals, Families and Communities

National Shooting Sports Month celebrates the passion we all have for target shooting and a pastime that provides a lifetime of enjoyment that can be shared with families and friends. At the same time, it reminds the public that shooting is a safe, fun activity enjoyed by millions of Americans, and provides an excellent opportunity for increased shooting sports participation through fun events and activities held at ranges and retail stores across the country.
