A customer pulled a gun and shot a man who police say had jumped over the counter of a Phoenix pharmacy and pointed a gun at people while demanding opioids.

Authorities didn't fault the customer, saying he was in the right place at the right time to stop the armed robbery attempt Tuesday night, police Sgt. Jonathan Howard said.
Shooting in defense of others...good witness or good shooter?
At least the shooter has declined all media.

By some measures, 7 of 10 Americans (down to infants) is on at least one prescription drug. No word on the amount of people seeking self-medication by obtaining other substances.
Physically and/or mentally unfit nation of people. Take precautions when in public. Your mileage may vary.
