I see nothing "wrongful" in the death of Michael Brown. He was a thug who got what ought to happen to thugs. His mutant family shouldn't be rewarded for his incompetence.

What I have a problem with is the pittance that Levar Jones received for the long term impairment he's suffered at the hands of Sean Groubert, and the fact that Groubert has YET to be sentenced, years later. It smells like a put up job.

Likewise, I have a problem with the apparent attempt at a put up job in the shooting of Charles Kinsey.

There is a certain segment of law enforcement and its enablers for whom there's not one iota of difference between Michael Brown and Charles Kinsey. They're BOTH just reactive targets, regardless of their behavior.

Off. Wilson was not found "liable". Apparently the insurance company feared he would be, and therefore settled out. I'm sure the release signed by the family has the standard disclaimer of liability ("this settlement shall not be construed as an admission of liability on the part of the Defendant(s)....", etc., etc., etc. The carrier would likely have never agreed to it if it included any admission of liability.

His family no more deserves money for him being shot in self-defense than the family of the Somali "car and knife" jihadi at Ohio State does.
