Negligent Discharge, 9yo Daughter Dead

Post by fyrfytr310 »

From WLWT
Police spokesman Lt. James Gonzales says the girl's brothers told officers they were in a room with their father and sister when a gun discharged as he was showing them the firearm.

I can't comprehend the pain nor the action/inaction that led to this.

"Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom? Congress shall have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birth-right of an American ... The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the People."

Agreed.

With an 11-year-old myself, I can't imagine the heartbreak. As-usual, this kind of stuff makes me both sad and mad. :x
