Sources told News 6 that the shooter, a disgruntled employee, is among the dead.

The shooting was reported around 8 a.m. at an industrial area on North Forsyth Road near Hanging Moss Road, northwest of Colonial Drive and State Road 417 in Orlando.
More to come a the situation isn't fully reported.

The article talks about an increased need to detect possible indicators of workplace violence, but nothing on what businesses should do about it. At one place I used to work, you were considered a possible risk if you even talked to your co worker about guns, regardless of the circumstances.

The article also says the police were called previously to this business for a battery incident involving this individual. I'd say that's a pretty good indicator of a propensity for workplace violence.

Guy was fired a couple months earlier.. so you haven't seen him in several months and figure you are good and then he shows up out of the blue gunning people down. Hard to see any indicators, that would signal an immediate issue, when you haven't seen the guy for several months.
Unless he's been dropping in, and calling regularly they probably thought firing him had resolved their issues.
