Mother leaves child asleep in car - goes in store. ends bad.

Post by Bruenor »

What a sad ending :( I saw more cars stolen at the gas station on E55th and Euclid than I can count on both hands, because people left the keys in them to go in the store. When will people learn ?
This is the first time I've heard of the thieves killing the kid when they found him in the back of the car though.

According to the Hinds County Sheriff's Department, the child's mother, Ebony Archie, left her Camry running with Kingston inside.
David Archie, Ebony Archie’s uncle, said Kingston was sleeping in the car when his mother went inside the store.
Within a short time, two men in a two-door Honda Civic pulled up and the passenger jumped in Archie’s car with the child inside. Both vehicles sped away.
The body of her 6-year-old son, Kingston Frazier, was shot to death in the backseat of his mother’s car, abandoned on a dead-end road in Madison County. The car was 15 miles from the Kroger parking lot in Jackson where it was stolen early Thursday morning with Frazier asleep in the backseat.
I hope the guilty are convicted and receive the death penalty.

This is the logical follow-thru to America's pervasive culture of death and the worldview it presupposes.

I agree. A few years back, I stopped at a stop & rob one night to get some coffee and there was an expensive SUV in the parking lot, running, with a child in a car seat in the back. The mother was in the store talking to the clerk about all kinds of things and I mentioned that she might want to rethink what she was doing. The rather well dressed woman cursed me up one side and down the other for questioning her judgment. Some people just ask for trouble. She was still there talking when I left and the car was still idling in the parking lot with a crying child in the back.

Never leave a child or a dog in a running vehicle
My dear sainted mother did that one time and my sister knocked us into reverse and we backed down the drive and into the fence.
While she stood on her friends stoop and watched.
I know that now-a-days you have to put your foot on the brake to leave park but it's still a good habit to maintain
That's the way she raised me

And if the women's story turns out to be true, someone ought to smack the snot out of her
