Kevin Wilson was a customer in the store, 2400 W. Michigan St., when his semiautomatic weapon discharged, sending a slug into the floor, Sidney police Sgt. Sean Martin said.

No one was hit.

That story covered who, what, where, and when. But without "why" or "how" it happened, hard to comment.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

I've been using a Serpa WITH a Glock for over six years. No issues here. Finger discipline is key with either. A pocket pistol with no real holster is more likely.

I agree. I tried to find more information through another source, was unsuccessful at the time. Hopefully something will come out about the specifics of how this happened.

How is a given. 'the gun just went off' !
Isn't that always the go to answer, even though we know differently.

Could have been reholstering with ANY holster and his finger still on the trigger. would be the same end result.

I left a gun store on Saturday, very soon after the guy behind the counter drew his carry gun to show two customers something.
It's OK though, he showed them he doesn't keep one in the chamber.

The state's newest gun law overrules private business owners from banning guns on their property as long as the person is a CCW license holder and locks the weapon in his or her personal vehicle.
Not sure what that last line was aimed at and how it related to the story at hand. It really is a bad synopsis of "the state's newest gun law". Plus not too many Walmarts I have heard of post.
God,
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can
and the Wisdom to know the difference.

Carrying a gun is a right, not a crime.

Gun control is racist.
