In Parma this tim.

A stolen vehicle was used to ram open the doors of a Parma gun shop early Tuesday.

Police said a chain attacked to a stolen Jeep was used to pry the doors open at Target Firearms on State Road around 4 a.m.
short of removing all firearms from the display cabinets and racks and putting them in a vault, not sure how a gun store can possibly secure their inventory these days.. Getting out of hand. This is at least the third one in a month in the areas surrounding Cleveland.
Point Blank, Finest Firearms and now Target Firearms.

There is a gun shop in my area that had a "walk in vault". All rifles are displayed in there and the pistol display cases get rolled in there when they close.

BlackWing in Delaware, OH has a similar set up. Huge vault door on a concrete room in the middle of the store. Long guns are always in there, and my understanding is they roll the handguns in there at night.

LEPD store/range is owned by retired cops I'm told. Their solution, although unattractive, should be pretty tough to defeat: Sections of interstate barrier/divider concrete walls, around all parts of the building that a vehicle could potentially ram. Can't realistically move them, nor go through or over.

The trade name for those is "Jersey barriers", by the way. They're ugly enough, that's the right state to name them after.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!
