The man defiantly has an odd technique. I would like to see what the target looked like before passing judgment.

During AIT training at Ft. McClellan, we had a person with an odd stance. The instructors spent a lot of time trying to get him to change. In the end they left him alone and he scored in the top 10%. In the end its where the bullets go, not where they come from.
