Police in southern Florida were investigating Sunday after a man killed himself at a gun range and his wife was found dead at their home.

It's an easy way to check out for those who don't own firearms. No amount of paperwork or obnoxious safety video watching is going to change that.

I could head to the Porsche dealership and head out for a ghost ride...no difference.

I'd say there are 3-4-5 reports of suicide at gun ranges every year. Heck, I can remember 2 or 3 just over at the New Albany range.

Who knows if renting a car to kill yourself in would make national news though.

A friend of mine was shooting at a range in San Diego (Discount Gun Mart) when someone committed suicide. Held the guy in his lap before he finally expired. Not uncommon at all.

I wonder how many people who do not own a firearm go into a range with the intention of killing themselves only to find a new hobby instead (shooting)?

Neither a doctor nor statistician, but my guess would be roughly zero.
I like to swap brass... and I'm looking for .32 H&R Mag, .327 Fed Mag, .380 Auto and 10mm. If you have some and would like to swap for something else, send me a note!
