Not much early morning news here on Sundays, even A.M. talk radio when the preachers take over until 9 o'clock or so. Wish I had some info to share.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

Sadly, rather than turning away patrons in the future...this notoriety as a gangster hotspot will attract some people. In their twisted worldview, they'll have more street cred if they hang out at a nightclub where you could get shot at.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/03/26/ci ... jured.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; says there were off duty cops there routinely patting and wanding and multiple shooters were involved, maybe spending more time patting and wanding would have been a good idea. Guessing it was a gang banger hangout.

Heard snippets from more than one local TV channel that said there were two security lines to enter the club:
1) Get wanded.
2) Pay extra and not get wanded.

Yeah, THAT'S a workable arrangement.

Of course it's all hearsay until we hear some actual, verifiable details.

No concealed guns unless you pay money? Sound likes the New York City model of a no guns zone.

Amazing how many locals seem totally stunned by this incident. Short memories and attention spans. Smaller scale versions of this have occurred before around town. And, in every big city that has some giant sized venue whose owners think "Gee, what a great cash grab it would be to have a packed-beyond-legal-capacity hip-hop night."

I've heard on one news source no one there has come forward to identify the shooter or shooters yet. Whatever happened to the good old days, when the suspect or an associate put video out on facebook or rockstar?

If there's video and the shooters are locals (seems like yes to both) the police probably knew who they were pretty quickly, even without the help of those hundreds of cooperative eye witnesses. But it's not like the police chief is going to say 'Yeah, we know Michael has a place in Bond Hill, and he sometimes stays in Pleasant Ridge, Indian Hill, Lincoln Heights, Mt. Healthy, and Groesbeck, with the mothers of his children. So, with the cooperation of those other departments, we are checking out all those sites."

By the way, one of those neighborhoods I listed may have been thrown in as a joke for SW Ohioans.

I wish that there was more penalty for refusing to be cooperative after witnessing something this violent. Like, arrest, and a fine that went directly to fund Crimestoppers, read into the record as such by the judge. But then some of those folks wouldn't pay it out, further thumbing their noses at the legal system.

Chief of Police Isaac was pretty adamant that people needed to change their behavior towards the police and informing. His message was they can't keep the population safe without cooperation from that same population.

(On an unrelated note: He's a veteran, but that's never mentioned in any blurb about him. He and I were in the same Ohio Army Guard unit at the same time.)
