Introduction of much-to-learn

Post by much-to-learn »

I live in Columbus and next week will mark my second renewal of my CCW license. I honestly don't carry much, but want the option to do so when I see fit so I got the license. Even before the license I have owned a gun for home defense. Until recently I had not been to the range in quite some time or thought about carrying so I figured I needed to both get back to the range and re-evaliuate my understanding of CCW and all of the laws surrounding it. This site has been really helpful which is why I gave a donation at the gun show at the fairgrounds. In the last month I have joined two ranges, one indoor and one outdoor, and bought a new gun for concealed carry as well. I have also read a lot and watched videos on CCW so that I make sure that I both follow the law and understand the ramifications of all my actions if I find myself in a situation where I need to defend myself.

I appreciate the opportunity to join and think this site provides a lot of important information and an opportunity to ask questions.

If I had a crystal ball to tell me when and where crime was going to happen, I might not carry much either.

Good one sir, and I understand the logic. I have read the forum enough to get an idea that many members agree with your point. I included my carry status in my introduction because it is the truth and if I do decide to carry on a regular basis I want to make sure that it is a well informed decision, and I have done my best to think through the many scenario's that might arise while carrying. That is the biggest reason I joined the forum. I like how members discuss issues surrounding concealed carry.
